About The Rickeldoris Candy and Popcorn Store

Rickeldoris is one of the oldest family-run businesses in one of the oldest towns in Arizona. The candy store was started by Bertha, the original "Candy Lady", who passed down the store to her daughter Artis. Since 1993, The Candy Store has been run by the same family. The family has a history of five generations living in Jerome, Arizona. Artis's grandfather was a miner in Jerome in the 1920s. Artis and her husband Tom moved to Jerome in 2006 to help her mother in the Candy Store.

We moved the Store to our current location in 2022. Originally the building was a meat market and apartments, years later local carpenter Richard Martin rebuilt the 1917 structure. To learn more about this building you can view the historical plaque located near the Candy Store entrance.
